Seabass Clear Favourite For 2013 Grand National
It’s been happening all week, the odds for Seabass have slowly but surely shortening to the point where this morning Katie Walsh was tying with her brothers mount On his OWn for the position of race favourite.

At one point both were on 8/1 but over the course of the day with many believing she can be the first female jockey to win a Grand national, Katie Walsh and Seabass have shortened in the odds and have just gone from 15/2 to 7/1 with paddy Power Bookmakers while On his Own has moved out to 10/1.
Will the Grand National get it’s fairytale ending for Katie Walsh – if she thought finishing third last year was amazing, imagine what being consigned to the history books will do for her career if she actually wins it in 2013?
Yes Seabass is carrying more weight and yes the pressure on Katie Walsh must be excruciating right now but if she keeps her on her shoulders and ignores the overwhleming press coverage and just does what she did last year then she really could win it.
And as the only female jockey to have gone off as Grand national favourite, she’s already made history today – before she even gets to the starting line!
