2013 Grand National Jockey Watch

With the 2013 Grand National only days away the interest has now firmly turned to who exactly the runners will be and more importantly which jockeys will partner them for the big day!

A.P. McCoy has opted to run on the Jonjo O’Neill trained Colbert Station for owner JP McManus in a bid to win his second Grand National.

Ruby Walsh has confirmed that he will be on board the race favourite and Willie Mullins trained On his OWn for the 2013 Grand National.

Richie McLernon, second in last year’s National will renew his pairing with Sunnyhillboy and despite a heavier year this time around will be hoping to go one better and win it this year.

Sam Twiston-Davies has been comfirmed for the 2010 Gold Cup Winner and one of the race favourites, Imperial Commander, who will carry top weight at this year’s National on 11-10.

Sam Thomas has renewed his partnership with the Paul Nicholls yard and will be on board What A Friend for owners Sir Alex Ferguson and Ged Mason.

Daryl Jacob, winner on Neptune Collonges in 2012 will ride the Paul Nicholls trained Join Together as he bids for back-to-back victories.

Tom O’Brien has been confirmed on three time Topham Chase winnerAlways Waining with connections advising that they are still undecided and will wait until closer to the race to decide if the ground is suitable.

Denis O’Regan was given the nod for Big Fella Thanks who is attempting this race for the 4th time. O’Regan partnered Black Apalachi last year.

Nick Scholfield has been linked to the Rebecca Curtis trained Teaforthree. A clear favourite for this year’s renewal, he finished 2nd in the Coral Welsh National earlier this year.

Bryan Cooper has been confirmed on the Dessie Hughes trained Rare Bob. Fresh off the back of a fantastic Cheltenham Festival Cooper will be hoping that his luck is still in.

Aidan Coleman has been booked for the Kim Bailey trained The Rainbow Hunter, a general 66/1 shot, who has just made it into the running due to the recent defections. Coleman partnered Mon Mome last year.
