Nicholson flagged Copc de Mai’s Supreme Novices’ Hurdle (13:20, March 11) jump from 5/4 to 11/10 as a “serious statement” – a horse he says “went from 16/1 to 6/1 across multiple races” thanks to relentless punter faith.
“He’s a banker—money’s pouring in,” Nicholson noted, tying it to Willie Mullins’ festival nous.
Fact to File’s Ryanair Chase (15:20, March 13) boost from 6/4 to 2/1 is another blockbuster – Nicholson beamed, “He’s been backed hard in the weeks before—it’s a real race now.”
Jonbon’s Champion Chase (16:00, March 12) edges from 4/5 to 11/10, Lou Lamber’s Triumph Hurdle (13:20, March 14) leaps from 2/1 to 5/2, and Absurd’s County Hurdle (14:00, March 14) spikes from 6/1 to 8/1. Nicholson calls it “the most competitive slate we’ve seen.”

Jazzy Matty, a Grand Annual Handicap Chase (16:40, March 12) hopeful, has crashed from 33/1 to 9/1—dubbed “the biggest Irish gamble” by the panel.
“He’s been backed off the boards since Christmas,” Nicholson said, crediting Gordon Elliott’s festival pedigree – think Tiger Roll’s cross-country coups.

Game of Inches, eyed for the Champion Bumper (17:20, March 12), rocketed from 25/1 to 3/1.
Nicholson marvelled, “Willie Mullins’ bumper horses always move, but this is wild.”
A Galway winner last summer, she’s “Mullins’ next big thing,” per Paul Kealy, with punters piling on her flat pace.
“The Irish are coming strong – green’s everywhere,” Nicholson warned, hinting at more raiders like Six and a Half (Mares’ Novices’, 5/2). Ireland’s cash wave could swamp the leaderboard.

Jonbon, Nicky Henderson’s Champion Chase ace at 11/10, “has consistent backing after Kempton,” he said, echoing Henderson’s “not allergic to Cheltenham” defence.

Lou Lamber’s Triumph boost (5/2) and Feat of a Dancer’s Pertemps leap (16/1) shine too. “These drive turnover,” Nicholson said, with Nico de Boinville’s “flies those hurdles” hype fuelling Lou’s rise.

Where It’s Cooling: Unibet’s Market Losers
Not every horse is raking it in. Nicholson flagged Now Is The Hour (National Hunt Chase, 17:20, March 11) and Stumptown (Kim Muir, 17:20, March 13) as “our worst losers right now”. Early buzz fizzled, money dried up.
“They’ve gone cold—punters pivoted,” he said, contrasting Jazzy Matty’s heat. Copc de Mai’s multi-race dance left some markets stale too – “He’s a tease, others suffer,” Nicholson chuckled.
