Night In Milan

When Night In Milan won the Grimthorpe Chase at Doncaster back in March 2014 nobody really thought he would make the line-up for the 2014 Crabbies Grand National despite the fact that he’d been given an entry.

That was primarily because he had only been given 9-13 by the BHA Handicapper which placed him, originally down in the mid-seventies on the list of entries.

Trained by Keith Reveley, father to jockey James Reveley, Night In Milan is only 8 years old but has already notched up winnings of over £75K for connections. He is owned by Richard Collins and has had five runs this season, the last three of which have all been at Doncaster and two of them included wins.

He ran at Aintree in May 2013 and finished second and from 15 chase starts has had four wins and six places so he certainly knows how to get to the finishing post.

He has also placed at 3m6f so stamina is not in question and returns his best performances on going that is Good-Sft so Aintree, if he gets in, will suit him perfectly.

Result: Unfortunately, despite a couple of defections he didn’t make it into the 2014 Crabbies Grand National, but hopefully will be back in 2015 to take his chances.
